ABOUT ME

Attachment-1_edited.png

I gained my first fitness qualification in 1991 which was the YMCA Exercise to Music. It is the main fitness foundation course which then can lead you into any course that you may choose. I have also trained to work with Older Adults, whether Seated Exercise or Functional Training for every day life, so I have an understanding of the ageing process.

I've loved teaching Aerobics, Circuit Training, Legs, Bums & Tums and Body Conditioning over the years but I've never enjoyed anything quite as much as FITSTEPS. I feel very lucky to have found Fitsteps and am very grateful to Ian Waite and Natalie Lowe for designing such a fantastic dance fitness programme.
I am totally committed to every class that I teach, I love the fact that we are all learning together Ballroom and Latin dance steps. We are getting fitter and more toned.

Balance, Posture and Self Awareness and Control are very much a part of of it too.  We are having fun, so much fun, whilst working up a sweat.

I can see my class members becoming more confident all the time and I love to see them exchanging phone numbers, making friends.

I am a Gold Awarded Pioneer Instructor who trained under Natalie Lowe and Ian Waite.

I am also a member of CIMSPA, the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity.

FitSteps is an energetic, upbeat dance class designed to achieve real, measurable fitness results.

The dance workout mixes the graceful steps of Ballroom and the up-tempo steps of Latin dances to create fun-filled classes where you don't even realise you're getting fit!

Transform your body and have fun dancing to music that will get your heart pumping!

FitSteps for All Bodies 'FAB' is a dance fitness workout designed for people who love to dance, want to keep fit, but for a variety of reasons, prefer a lighter intensity, lower impact and perhaps a slower pace. FAB combines old style dance genres such as the Bosa Nova, Foxtrot to the Flamenco and Argentinian Tango.

The workout combines sway and swing roots, making it great fun to do whether young or simply young at heart.

The dance steps are easier to follow enabling more participants to have fun getting fit while learning classic dances of the ages.
